Yet more neat 1/700 photoetched stuff from Lion Roar. This time it is a set to detail Japanese carrier aircraft. This set is for late war stuff that includes the Zero, Jill, Myrt, Judy and others. The set appears to allow six of each type to be detailed.

The set includes landing gear and wheel wells, wheels, drop tanks, bombs, torpedoes, propellers, tail hooks, tail gear, flaps, and canopy frames. I have to say that I'm quite impressed at the ingenuity of these sets and the thought to include etched canopy framework is inspired. Full instructions on what goes where is included in the set. Of course, one cannot seriously expect even a 1/700 Zero to sit on photo etch gear so each aircraft has to be fit with a set of plastic rod supports prior to attaching the etched stuff. This is all shown in the very comprehensive instructions that are part of the set.

Detail freaks will love this one and I have to say, it will seriously improve the look of your deck load of planes.
