Next in their bits for the Kinetic Mirage 2000 is this complete cockpit set for the single seat versions. The set is typical of Pavla sets and is very well done. The set contains a new canopy, new cockpit tub, new instrument panel/anti-glare panel, new seat (which I think is an MB.Mk 10) new side walls, new control stick, new rudder pedals and a number of small resin switches, canopy mirrors, canopy handles and some other bits.
To use this set, some of the inner detail and mounting lugs will need to be removed. The set also includes a small acetate sheet for the gun sight. A full set of instructions that includes not only placement but also painting information is included. I have used Pavla sets in the past and have found them to be well worth the effort. Pavla has also included a section of foam in the packaging to reduce the issues with parts rattling around and breaking during shipment.
canopy set for the single seat versions. Pavla designs these sets to be a separate windscreen and canopy so you can pose it open. The vacuform molding is quite good and I especially like that Pavla uses relatively thick plastic for this so that it is much easier to attach the bits than the sometimes overly-thin plastic that you get with many similar sets.
