This new Pavla set is designed for the Italeri/Acadamy 1/48 U-2S. The Academy kit is the same as the Italeri kit, but with different decals. Either one will set you back nearly $50 so it is not an inexpensive kit. However, if you do have this kit, then Pavla has a very nice cockpit set for it that doesn't have a zillion pieces.
The set includes a new tub with console and back wall detail, a new ejection seat, instrument panel with rudder pedals, control stick and a couple of smaller bits. These bits fit onto the new clear windscreen and canopy. This canopy is molded so that the windscreen and canopy section are separate so you can bose it open to show the interior detail.
Instructions are included that show painting info for all the various bits as well as what needs modified to use it. Basically, you cut away the kit's rear cockpit bulkhead, making this a simple set to use.
