Next in the latest line of Pavla's upgrade cockpit sets is this most welcome one for the recent Airfix 1/72 A-4B. The Airfix kit has a fair cockpit, but is sorely lacking in fine detail. This set takes care of all of that and is not very parts intensive. You get a nicely molded cockpit tub with a ton of console detail, a pair of rudder pedals, a new control stick, a new instrument panel, a new anti-glare panel and a nicely detailed bang seat with harness detail molded in place. There will be a need to do some surgery to the kit to install these new parts, but the plastic on the Airfix kit is rather soft and easy to work with.

Pavla provides a full installation and painting guide, showing exactly what needs to be carved or thinned down to install this set, but those at the level of using these sets will be used to that by now.

Overall, it is a very well done set for this new Airfix kit and is quite welcome.
