Those of us who buy the inexpensive Hobby Boss kits realize that while they may look quite nice, they are pretty much lacking in detail. This is no more true than the cockpit area of their MiG-15 and so Pavla has come to the rescue on this one.

Their cockpit set is a total replacement for the kit parts and from what I see, you only need to cut off the kit's instrument panel anti-glare screen and cockpit aft section to get this one to fit. Rather than provide a myriad of tiny parts to go adrift, Pavla's set includes a pretty complete tub with the detail already embossed inside. A superbly molded ejection seat, a control stick and a new instrument panel complete the main bits. A section to fit under the rear of the canopy is also provided along with a new vacuformed canopy. Pavla's canopies are meant to be displayed open from the look of it as the windscreen and canopy proper are separate on the mold.

It all makes into a fine new set that is sure to improve the look of your HB MiG-15bis considerably.
