This Scale Aircraft Conversions set is for another new kit that has yet to hit the local store shelves. This time it is the Kinetic 1/48 Alpha Jet. The Alpha Jet has a somewhat complex landing gear that seems to be indicative of the times. The main gear has a 'knee' and so is in two major parts. This set includes those as well as the two struts that go along with it. The nose gear has a separate wheel fork and its own retraction strut. These smaller bits are encased in a metal sprue to keep them free from damage during shipping. As you can see, the casting is first rate and these are direct replacements for the kit bits.
