This Scale Aircraft Conversions set is for the new Airfix 1/72 Lancaster kit. This kit has been eagerly awaited despite their being rather new Lancaster kits from both Revell and Hasegawa, but since Airfix builds for the home market, it is not surprising to see this one out. The set is somewhat complex, with their being two large main gear strut assemblies, the retraction strut assembly and two actual retraction pistons for each set of gear. These latter bits are within a metal sprue to keep them straight during shipment. A tail gear leg is also provided.  This is a direct replacement for the kit parts. As sometimes happens, some of the thinner bits can be bent, but these are easy to straighten back out.
