This Scale Aircraft Conversions set is for the new Airfix 1/72 Vampire Trainer kit. Undoubtedly, should Airfix do single seat Vampires, this should work with them as well. It is a pretty basic set so SAC gives you two of them for your money. There are but three pieces for each aircraft and those consist of the main gear legs and the nose gear leg with the wheel molded in place. The additional weight of the metal nose gear will be a positive thing for the tail-heavy Vampire. The casting is superbly done and like most of their sets, it is a direct replacement for the kit parts. As with all metal sets like this, you might find some of the thinner parts bent, but they can easily be straightened out.
