This particular set is designed for the various Hasegawa 1/48 Typhoon kits. It includes new main gear struts, new retraction struts and a new one-piece tail gear. This is a direct replacement for the kit parts and adds some heft to things. This set might also work on the Monogram Typhoon, though it is not designed for it and the attachment points may cause you to do some modification.

The gear is quite sturdy and all one needs to do is clean up the mold seams, paint things and install them. As you can see from the image, the casting is first rate.
