This Scale Aircraft Conversions set is for the new KittyHawk 1/48 F-35B Lightnine II kit. Typical of modern jets, the landing gear is a bit on the complex side and includes two new main gear struts with oleo scissors and a pair of retraction struts per leg. The main gear is a bit more basic with an oleo scissor and retraction strut. This set is a direct replacement for the kit parts
The gear is quite sturdy, and all one needs to do is clean up the mold seams, paint things and install them. As is the norm, some of the pieces could be are a tad bent, but will straighten up quite easily.
