This brand new True Details set is designed for the Hobby Boss 1/48 F4U-4 Corsair. This kit has been released in both early and late versions. Apparently the cowling is not as well shaped as Corsair fans would like, and the props are equally unsatisfactory either due to shape or thickness.

Now that has been taken care of by this new upgrade set from True Details. You get a new forward cowling that is just as thin as the plastic bits, a new hub and four new prop blades. There are sockets in the hub to accept the pins on the end of the blade so all you need to do is ensure they are at the same angle. For the cowling, the large resin pour plug will need to be removed prior to use. Not my favorite way of doing this, but there are lightening holes all the way around the plug to make it easier to saw away.

These are direct replacements for the kit parts and will take away the issues with prop and cowl shape on your next Hobby Boss Corsair build.
