I have seen similar items like this, but not for a very long time. This is something that has been slowly gaining favor with jet fans as the pitot tube is something that is not only difficult to mold in plastic, but it is also very easily broken away.

Not so with this one. Made of superbly machined stainless steel, this one will not snap off at a glance. While it probably was designed with the Hasegawa 1/48 kit, I see no reason why this would not work on the Monogram or even the ESCI kit of the Starfighter.

Well worth seeking out.
