W&D Studio 48006: F-5E pitot

The next stainless steel upgrade bit from W&D Studio is this pitot tube for the 1/48 F-5E Tiger II. You may recall that I earlier previewed another F-5E pitot. That was the differently shaped K configuration version. This is the C configuration version. I do not know which is appropriate to which nose, but am guessing that the C version is for the 'shark nose' F-5s.

 It includes an extra long attachment section to be sure that you will be able to have it fit the kit you choose. The nice thing about these metal probes is that they are not easily broken off like their plastic brethren. They also have the benefit of not needing seams scraped so are perfectly round, unlike the way most kit offerings turn out!

Well worth seeking out.
