F-5E 741539 #05
This a/c is another ex-USAF aggressor with the standard USAF options. In the first two photos, it is in the USAF "new blue" scheme, with negative color stencils. In the third photo, taken on 9-7-00, it has been repainted in the same colors, but the pattern now differs, and the stenciling is now in black.

This ex-USAF machine was destroyed in a crash at McCarren Airport in Reno earlier this year (2000). At the time, it was painted in this gray/gray splinter scheme. To the best of my knowledge, this was the first F-5 painted in this scheme, with F-5F #30 following shortly afterwards. Because of this, the pattern on both aircraft is quite similar. The pattern on this ex-USAF machine loosely follows the "new blue" pattern, but the colors are grays, instead of blues. Notice that the pattern includes the nose cone, which is uncommon.

Another ex-USAF aggressor, this Tiger is painted in a dark gray over light gray scheme.
