THE KIT |
This particular set is titled "Bail Out!" and depicts a Soviet tank crew hurriedly exiting their T-34. One figure is coming out the upper hatch, one is firing his machine gun, and the other two depict one man pulling the wounded driver from the driver's hatch.
Each figure has the body divided into two legs, two arms, a torso and a head; just like us! The various equipment and packs are separate as is the figure's helmet. A look at the faces shows that the sculptor tried to get them to be different and has succeeded in doing so, something that one doesn't always find with figure sets.
The molding for the figures is quite good. Most of the large bits have a seam of varying sizes that will need to be attended to, but no ejector pin marks, no visible sink areas.
There is no instruction sheet, but on the back of the box are two views of each figure showing where the parts fit and giving color information. A parts diagram is also provided so you can identify each bit. Color information is provided with Vallejo, Tamiya, Lifecolour, Humbrol and Agama references, so you should be able to find something that will work.
CONCLUSIONS |
I have recently learned that there are quite a few people who like doing figures like this. If not for stand-alone, then together in a diorama of some sort. They definitely will add to any vehicle and appear to be pretty straight-forward in terms of construction and painting.
