NOTES: |
HISTORY |
Not much to say about these aside from it looks like something from the 18th or 19th century. No date is given other than the box being labeled as being part of the 'Historics' series.
THE KIT |
What you have in this set are four sprues of softish brown plastic. There is duplication of both sprues so only two are shown in the image. The set includes parts for a watch tower, a three sided emplacement of some sort, five barrels of different sizes and four rifles. As you can see, the emplacement and watch tower are wooden, which would make it from the time period mentioned before.
I have the feeling that these are to go with Napoleonic era war gaming figures in this larger scale. The parts either have relatively large alignment pins/holes or, in the case of the emplacement, the wall sections just fit together at the corners.
These could also be used in more modern warfare dioramas as often times, emplacements were made from local materials and though not precisely 1/35 scale, it is close enough to make these useful in the smaller scale.
CONCLUSIONS |
A neat set of accessories that will come in handy either with wargamers or diorama builders.
