From what I can tell, this kit has little in the way of new parts and is basically their US Army M48A3. According to the information on the box, there is a new lower rear plate on the hull piece. You would expect there to be sprues from which you'll use very few parts and that is definitely the case for this one.

As with other M48 kits, the suspension detailing is very nice and one will spend some quality time assembling the suspension mounting points and the suspension itself. This kit includes a nice searchlight assembly as well as a goodly number of storage bins, the latter attaching to the fenders. The kit supplies Dragon's nice deformable styrene (DS) tracks and also provides the mantlet and barrel cover in this material. The various hatches are shown in the instructions in the closed position, but for those who want to include figures, they can be modeled open.

The turret and the turret machine gun position are also nicely done and you ahve the option of having various vision ports open or closed. Thanks to the relatively low (300) parts count and minimal metal parts (aside from a metal wire tow cable and a small p.e. fret with brackets), it is a kit that will build pretty quickly and will be well liked by those who don't like individual track links or a lot of photo etch.

Instructions are well done though a bit busy. Model Master and Gunze paint references are provided. The four markings options are all painted the same color and in this case, it needs to be mixed when using the provided color references. I know that there are dedicated IDF paint colors from other paint manufacturers so you may wish to seek those.
