Hi, I’m Tony Hodun, and this is one of five tables of
Hasegawa 1/48 kit listings I’ve developed to aid you as a modeler or collector
in finding the right kit to build the version you want, to fill the gaps in your
collection, or to find the parts you need.
This page covers Jet Aircraft and Helicopters, Part 2, and includes
all older and a few newer US jets, JASDF jets, Drakens, helicopters,
business jets, and weapons/figure sets.
See the U.S./British WW II Aircraft Page for a more complete explanation
of these tables. If you have input,
please contact me at hodunmisinec@gmail.com .
Enjoy, and happy modeling/collecting!
Note 1: These
tables are based on the actual parts in the kit, not the instructions sheets!
Hasegawa sometimes includes older instructions in newer kit boxings, but
newer revisions of parts trees, so the two don’t always match!
Note 2: The starred tree letters (e.g. D*) are my own way
of differentiating between trees where Hasegawa re-uses the same letter for two
different sets of parts, modifies or updates parts, or adds/deletes an optional
part; the star will not be found on the actual parts tree.
The lower case tree letters are actually present (e.g., the different A-4
or F-104 fuselage trees) and typically have an extra tab with the subletter on
the parts tree.
I want to especially thank David W. Aungst for his awesome
contributions, as he willingly took the time to provide a huge amount of the
data below, including much of the original parts tree information.
He paved the way for me and for others to build on this table, so thank
him if you were helped at all by this table.
Another huge contributor I want to especially thank is Greg
Feiser; his web pages on the F-16 include detailed information on the F-16
Fighting Falcon and on scale models in every scale, and his Hasegawa 1/48 pages
provided much additional information for the improved F-16 kits section of my
tables! You can also use his notes
to modify and correct these kits to build more accurate F-16 versions. Check out
his site at:
http://www.habu2.net/vipers
My thanks to my repeat contributors James Arguello, Mark
Atrill, Jose Barata, Christian Blachford, Scott Bregi, Martin Burkey, Stefan
Buysse, Jason Cheah, Kev Chenney (many times!), Jim Dick, Julien Dixon, Björn
Dol, Mike Franklin, David Garrington, Carsten Götze,
John Macklin, Andy Mullen, Ken Pawlowski, Rafael Rodriguez, Greg Scoumis, Marko
Trnski, Thomas Voigt, Mike Vorrasi, Scott Van Aken, Martin van Wyk, and Ron
Young, and also to Andreas Beck, Jim Bonanni, Neils Christian Boman, Thomas
Brown, Michael Chilestone, Hans Datema, Fernando Jose Diaz de Sousa, Joe Falen,
Jason Holt, Chris Kerns, Ray Lloyd, Steve McArthur, Marc de Niverville, Jim
Obermeyer, Bosse Persson, Ray (no last name provided), Rafael Rodriguez, Juan
Carlos Alberto Gomez y Sarzotti, Kevin Seniuk, John Smith, Kevin Smythers, Dan
Suria, Joe Taylor, Andrew Treloar, Lee Virasimi, Woody Yeung, and Roberto Zambon
for their helpful input!
NOTE:
Bold typeface means the data is a new
entry since the previous update.

PM 5976 are identical A/4E/F kits.
In addition to parts for A-4E/F with or without avionics hump, also include
other parts to do A-4E or F in almost any configuration except A-4F ‘Super Fox’,
also can build RAN A-4G, early Israeli A-4H or early RNZAF A-4K.
09441 A-4K is the basic A-4E/F which includes 5 required metal antennae.
09660 starts as an A-4E/F but substitutes
the larger intakes of the A-4 ‘Super Fox’. 09648
is similar to 09660 and includes a resin left wing-root mounted boarding step.
07358 starts with the basic A-4E/F and includes the A tree from X48-8 which
provides an ACMI TACTS pod. 07377 is
the basic A-4E/F with new parts (including bomb rack adapter) to build the
infamous toilet bowl that VA-23 dropped on Vietnam during that war!
09426 includes modified fuselage and parts to do the A-4B.
07222, 09496, and 09513 include modified fuselage and parts to do the A-4C
or A-4L. 09456 and 09735 A-4SU kits
are based on 07222 A-4C and include appropriate resin details.
09554 is based on 07222 A-4C, also includes the A-4B nose plus added
resin parts to build an Argentine A-4B or A-4C.
09784 is also based on 07222 and includes the parts to build either an
A-4B or an A-4C.
07233, 09710, 09752, and identical 09951 build a basic A-4M
Skyhawk; 09611 also includes later main struts and gear doors.
Similar 09575 includes added parts to also build an A-4N.
09943 is based on 09575 but includes resin and metal parts for an A-4N
with updated avionics and exhaust pipe extension.
09595 and 09729 have the same plastic as the A-4N, but lack the metal 30
mm cannon.
Finally, Hasegawa produces a two-seat Scooter!
07243, 07327, 09887, 09901, and 09937 include the necessary new parts
to build a basic TA-4J or TA-4F two-seat Skyhawk. 07307
starts with the basic kit and includes plastic and resin parts to build an
IDF/AF version with extended exhaust pipe.

07213 builds a Block 30/35 standard Sabre with original
non-slatted 6-3 wings with fences (introduced during the Korean War), includes
Sidewinder missiles and rails; 07072, 07076, 07082, 09483, 09500, 09969, 09567
Sabre Mk. 4, 09607 Sabre Mk. 5, 09642
Sabre Mk. 5, and 09705 Sabre Mk. 5 are identical.
51022 is 07213 plus 21 resin parts for superdetailing.
09518 is based on 07213, includes resin camera section and side bulges
and clear sheet to convert to a factory RF version (one has to remove some of
the lower fuselage).
07214 and 07514
build a Block 40 Sabre with later lengthened slatted 6-3 wings first introduced
on original Block 40s, and finless 200 gallon drop tanks and pylons.
07074, 07215 and
07381 are similar and include a smoke
generator pipe; 09912 is a set of three kits (F-86F/T-2/T-4) that includes an
F-86F identical to 07215. 09321 is
similar, but includes resin parts and clear sheet to build a JASDF RF-86F-40.
07075 is based on 07214, also includes the 120 gallon drop tanks/pylons.
09349 builds a Block 40 Sabre with only the missiles and 120 gallon drop
tanks/pylons. 09306 builds a Block 40 Sabre with only the 120 gallon drop
tanks/pylons. Identical 09532 and 09680 are the Block 40 Sabre kit with slatted
wings, missiles, and finned drop tanks.
The modeler removes the wingtip extension and adds resin wingtips to
correctly build the slatted wing found on the Canadair Sabre Mk 6.
RG 04562 is similar to these, and includes plastic wingtips and pitot
tube in addition to the metal and resin parts.

07218 and similar 09458 build a JASDF F-104J with Lockheed
C2 ejection seat only. 09610 is
almost identical but lacks the longer afterburner.
Similar 09749 lacks the longer afterburner and includes a resin machine
gun port cover. CF-104 09490 is
identical to the basic F-104J kits and includes a metal antenna; similar CF-104s
09539 and 09712 also include 3 metal RWR antennae, and lack the longer
afterburner.
07219 builds a USAF F-104C with refueling probe and
Lockheed C2 ejection seat only.
09410 and
09725 are based on 07219 and also include the longer J79
afterburner.
07220 has modified fuselage, correct rudder, bulged gear
doors, and M-B seat, does the NATO “G” only. 09475, 09505, 09560, 09597, 09674,
and 09706 are based on 07220 and include the longer afterburner.
09365 is based on 07220 and also include the C2 ejection seat. 09427 is
based on 07220 but only includes the C2 ejection seat, no MB seat. RG 04552 is
based on 09365 and also include the longer afterburner ring.
09961 is also based on 09365 and includes metal and resin parts to build
the German CCV demonstrator. 09644
is based on 07220 and includes the resin machine gun port cover.
09402 F-104S
does not include all the required changes to build an F-104S (see the
preview elsewhere on M2), is based on RG 4552 minus the C2 ejection seat, and
only includes the additional ventral strakes found on the S model; lacking are
wing pylons, external fuel tanks, and fuselage missile rails.
09443 and 09578 are identical to 09402.
07340, 09618, 09655, 09694, 09731, and 09767 are identical to 09402 plus
include a resin machine gun port cover.
07240, 09737, and identical 09756 include the parts to
build the two-seat TF-104G. 09768 is
identical and also includes Lockheed C2 ejection seats.
Almost identical 07368 and
09700 include different instrument panels, ejection seats, and main gear doors
and builds the two-seat F-104DJ. 09726 is based on 07240 and also includes early
main gear doors, an IFR probe, and Lockheed C2 seats. 09955 is based on 07240
but has non-bulged nose gear doors and Lockheed ejection seats.

These are three separate and different business jet kits
grouped in the same number series (parts layout is similar but parts are not
interchangeable). Some more recent
boxings replace the tinted windows with clear windows.
1169, 06261, 06263, and
identical RG 04213 build a basic Learjet 36; the box description says 35/36 but the fuselage length is
correct for the 36. 06266 is identical but the windows are clear, not
tinted. 09354 includes clear windows plus additional clear parts and resin parts
to build the JMSDF utility U-36A version, though the kit lacks the under wing
pods shown on the boxtop. T2,
1168, and RG 04228 build a basic
Cessna Citation I.
T1 and 06265 builds a basic Dassault Falcon 10 with clear windows.
RG 04217 builds a basic Dassault Falcon 10. The Revell Germany boxings are Best
Buys in that they have very nice quality decals.
NEED INFO: 1159,
T3, 06262, 06264. Verify 6261 canopy
tinted, not clear.
